Flash content on Safari, WTF

What I have:
  • SWF developed at Flash CS5 FLA, output to Flash Player 10; actionscript 2.
  • The SWF makes us of movies placed on the timeline. AS in the movies allow the timeline to advance or stop where needed.
  • HTML structure hosting the SWF in an AP Div.
  • Current Safari on Mountain Lion

What it does:
  • on my computer: works as intended
  • uploaded to the web: apparently ignores all AS embedded inside movies on the timeline; only reacts to AS on the main timeline.

Have no idea why, but the uploaded (web-hosted) version works just fine when viewed with Firefox. I know Apple recently updated Safari's behaviour towards Flash, but this is a little ridiculous.

Any clues?
