I use Chrome as my default browser, but also switch to IE and FireFox on Win7 64 platform and on Win7 32.
For some time I've suffered crashes, slow response and general malaise when accessing sites using flash.
Apparently the problem is caused by Chrome having its own built in version Flash which conflicts with the generic version of Flash, which is also installed for non Chrome browsers - which means that Chrome ends up with two versions of Flash add-ins installed and active, which in turn confuses Chrome.
The fix is quick and simple - in Chrome, disable all the Flash plug-ins other than Chrome's embedded version as follows:
Close the browser window and, hopefully!, your problems are solved.
In my case my browser just became a whole lot more responsive even when running IE using generic flash and Chrome with its embeded Flash simultaneously.
I hope this helps you.

- Enter about : plugins (without spaces) into the Chrome browse bar
- Look for Flash entries and disable all except the one that includes \Google\Chrome\Application in its install path
