Flash development

I have taken a trip to the deep end and got involved with some flash editing without much knowledge on the subject.

First I need a flash 'editor'.

Does any one have any suggestions for a reasonably good flash editor? For the moment I need to change some text in a .fla file.

I used FlashDevelop previously, great editor and very active development and support. Search for the getting started tutorials to get the environment set up.

Edit: Just realized that you want to edit a .fla file. To my knowledge you can only do that with Adobe Flash, maybe some Flash boffin on the forums has a 57 step procedure of how to extract the code from the flash file

I think SWF decompiler will do the trick . I used to use it long ago . [http://www.sothink.com/product/flashdecompiler/ ]
Although I think SWiSH too can , but am not sure .
