Flash Drive on Network

Good Morning

I have a D-Link modem which i got with my ADSL package from Telkom, it has a USB port at the back so that you can have a USB device attached. I am having trouble getting access to the USB flash drive, is there a way it needs to be set up?

is the USB port not just for 3G failover ? not sure it can act as storage, what model is it ?

That USB port is not for storage access. It is there purely for failover.
