i have a 4gb Traxdata flash stick and if i put it in two different laptops it works ok but if i put it in my desktop i eiher get a virus warning or it refuses to open (access denied) or it asks me what programme do i want to use to open it. what is wrong with it?

avast i think its updated but i also have a program called Glary Utilities which allowed me to look into the flashstick and i can delete autorun to my recycle bin (by the way thats what the virus detection mentioned _recycle), should i delete it to the bin?

yes remove it...no point in keeping the file...

anyway this autorun.inf file is a bitch and a half.... if u dubble click ur flash ...then that open with menu keeps popping up...if u wane access it, deleting it will help, but if u cant do that, then just use windows explorer...(windows button + e) and click on ur flash on the left side of ur screen

hmm good idea. another question if you can help.

i went to my brother to get some games they have. we downloaded the games to my daughters laptop and they seem to work fine but if i copy them to the flashdrive and copy them over again to my desktop or my wifes laptop the very same games dont wanna work, what could be that problem?

is there any kind of error msg it gives? knowing that might just give us somewhere 2 start ;) and are they using the same operating systems

no error message and yes we all the same. we downloaded the original discs to the laptop so is it possible that in the copying of the files over there might be some files missing?

i really doubt that could b the problem...but try now that the virus is gone...mayb it works this time

ok, at my campus.... each blady pc has a virus.... also an autorun.inf ....and i got a 8gb kingston.... and its heavy irritating, i know how u feel
