Hi all,

I've now been battling with this for 2 days, and figured i'd now post and ask for some help.

I recent broke my iphone and have started using a friends S3 mini. i'm wanting a clean android install before i really start using the phone. i'm not a fan of samsung bloatware, and well, i just want to be able to do this now!

I have completely wiped the phone and it's fully default at the moment. I downloaded the CyanogenMod and googleapps from http://novafusion.pl/downloads/# and have put them onto the SD card as zip files.

I'm using a Mac, so i cant use odin, although i have tried Jodin3 for mac, without any luck. I have booted the phone into recovery mode and tried "apply update from external storage" i then select the cm11 zip file, try run it (ater clearing cache and wiping all data - of course) and get an e:failed to verify whole-file signature.

Am i missing something?

I'd really appreciate any assistance i can get, i'm new to android so i'm still wrapping my head around it all.

Remember this is an S3 mini. which uses the Novathor 8500 chipset which wasn't easy to crack. You probably won't be able to use odin to flash it :-(

thanks, i eventually came right using a windows pc. the problem i was having is that device wasnt already rooted, which i then did and was able to flash cm11 onto it. (just incase anyone stumbles onto this in the future and finds this helpful)
