Flat Lease Contract with low credit score

Good day everyone,
I have a low credit score and i am currently a sublet,my credit score was affected after the company i worked for went bankrupted and i was unemployed for a little while,the apartment contract expires in December.Is there anyway i can renew this under my name? I can afford the rent as it is 20% of my salary and i have been paying rent on time every month.

I would appreciate advice in this regard

Perhaps discuss it with whoever you are renting from. If you have been steadily paying the rent with no issues/late payments etc, they may agree to extend.

Agreed. No landlord in their right mind would want to start issues with a tenant that pays on time -- they are worth their weight in gold.
