I'm planning on doing quite a substantial renovation project for a flatlet. I want to start looking for a reputable contractor and a project manager to handle the day to day. I won't have time or patience to manage it all myself nor do I have all the required knowledge so having somebody to do this will be essential.

I'm in the Blouberg area - would appreciate any feedback if you've used somebody recently and had a good experience.

Do you actually get this kind of service? Communication skills are key, and if you don't keep your fingers on the pulse it can get very messy, very quickly. PM skills are critical.

Yes, you get contractors that do project management.

I'm still a ways off actually getting started but I would likely get some people in to inspect the property and the plan drafts, then choose and maybe get them to handle all the council approvals and things.
