Flickering TV with DSTV or Apple TV

I seem to be the go to guy for the boss's tech problems.

He is getting intermittent flickering/blinking on his TV when connected to the above devices via HDMI.

The common denominators are the TV and the HDMI cable so I would guess the issue is with the HDMI cable.

Are there some that may cause this ?

Cables that are not well shielded. It could be the HDMI cable or one of the other cables.

Get him to move as many other cables out of the way. If that helps then see which other cable is causing interference. If cables do need to cross, try and get them as perpendicular as possible. Also try another HDMI cable and see if you can duplicate the problem.
