Seems that very few people enjoy this category judging by the lack of value joysticks for sale.

I was influenced by Independence War as a laaitie as it was the first game my dad bought me. Came in a bundle with an el cheapo joystick from Incredible Connection in Springfield.

Oh I spent many an afternoon and late night playing that game instead of doing my homework.

Recently found it on Steam for a few bucks and now I'm hooked again. But where are the old Logitech and MS joysticks? Are you guys hoarding? Come on, sell to me please.

What other flight Sims do you guys enjoy?

Takes some effort to get started but has a good flight model.

DCS is still the best combat flight sim. Waiting for the next MS Flight Sim, going to be amazing.

Star Citizen for a space sim, still early access but quite a 'large' tech demo is available.

Oolite is a good, free, open source space trading/combat simulator.

If you just want to explore the universe, Space Engine is very realistic and older versions are free to use.
