Hello,

I got Flight Simulator X Gold addition for my birthday. I installed it but I have no idea what I'm doing. I crashed a Boeing 747 and flipped a Lear Jet a few times but I'm not sure where to start.

I opened the learning centre but there's a lot of information there which is a bit overwhelming.

Where is the best place to start learning flight simulator?

I also want to know what the best settings are to get the best graphics and PC performance (I'm not much of a gamer but I LOVE flying and air planes).

Thank you in advance. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Try set your difficulty to lowest. Also use a joystick rather than keyboard and mouse.

EDIT: My dad had the same problem, just practice and practice.

Here is the best website to install 1,000's of add-ins to make your Flight Simulator X experience much more worthwhile:

www.flightsim.com

You can also try YouTube as an additional resource to get training videos for Flight Simulator X.

I still use FS2004 (about 8 years of customisation has seen it increase from about 4 GB to over 50 GB on my HDD), but occasionally dabble in FSX as well for newer add-ins that are not FS2004-compatible!

Eish. I looked at Joysticks and they are quite expensive. Any idea which Joystick I should get that isn't that expensive?
