Hi everyone,
This medication is required for my pet. She has addisons and needs this tablet twice a day. The issue is that the vet says that there is a shortage of supply in the country.

If anyone can help work out where there is stock in Johannesburg ?

I called BMS.
There is a problem with manufacturer in the US. Next shipment only expected in mid March.

I been trying all vets and dischem, clicks , etc. no one got stock.

I got a script from my VET.

Just hoping there is someone sitting with some stock of this.
 
Usually the manufacturer has an idea of which pharmacies still have stock...

did you ask the big chains (Medirite / Dischem / Clicks) to check on their systems if there is anything at the bulk warehouse?
 
I found you some stock, you will have to fax the script to them, pay via eft & get a courier to collect (if you need I can take a drive there tomorrow if you need to collect). They have a box of 100 so you might want to get more than a months supply if possible.

The vet has suggested an alternative which is an injection every 25 days.
But the vet is not sure when he will get stock of this injection.

I will call 1st thing in the morning , send the script and make arrangements for payment and delivery.

I really really appreciate your help on this.

Good afternoon, may I also receive details of the pharmacy who has stock of this medicine? Needed by my mum and we tried many places in jhb. Thanks

To the best of my knowledge , Jhb has run out of stock. I called several places without success.
Bristol Myers is maintaining silence on a date when it will be back in stock.

The place i got some from is in tongaat link pharmacy. I don't know if they have stock anymore.

Ask your vet for a prescription.
 
there seems to be a major shortage on medicine, human and animal alike, very scary
 
at one stage, not sure now, perfalgan ivi 500mg as well as depramil 30mg.....i could go on and on if you like?
 
essentially a cortisone. But it seems the poor pooch could have an autoimmune issue

I am in Cape Town and my friend is urgently needing a supply of Florinef for her two children. She has 3 days meds left so this is a matter of urgency.. could you please assist?
