Fly Blue Crane has first cross-border touchdown in Windhoek

Cape Town - The new proudly SA airline Fly Blue Crane successfully launched its first cross-border flights between Cape Town and Windhoek on Friday, 13 May, after receiving approval from South African and Namibian authorities to commence the service.

According to Theunis Potgieter for the airline said the launch service between the two cities had gone well, with the airline getting very positive feedback from customers.

The airline operates modern and fuel-efficient 50-seater Embraer Regional Jet 145 (ERJ) aircraft in a single class configuration. It uses the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code 7B..........

Thus far the one I've decided to nope is ethiopian airlines with addis ababa stopover. Despite being a lot cheaper...just not keen on that.

I've actually heard quite a few good reports of Ethiopian, I know of 2 families who have used their 787's for a return trip to Europe, Addis Ababa airport is old, but not unbearable from what I gather

I have heard good things about Ethiopian. Their planes are very new compared to SAA, and more often than not they work out a lot cheaper than SAA. The stop overs are also often not all that long, something like 1 or two hours.

Will consider that next time then. Already booked this years annual pilgrimage via BA but maybe next year.

I flew with Egypt's airline and that was ok too. Food a bit meh and some arabic prayer before take-off but whatevs.
