So right now with FNB I have:

SMART ACCOUNT (my main account for salary etc.)
GOLD CREDIT ACCOUNT (I don't use credit but use this card as my daily for spending, then end of month when I get this statement I transfer from SMART ACCOUNT to this credit account so it's all balanced and nothing carries over).

Is there an easier way to do this? I don't mind have the credit facility for an emergency (have never needed to use it) but micromanaging this each & having two accounts seems unnecessary. Is there a way to consolidate this all into a single account? What's the deal with ASPIRE CURRENT and FNB Fusion?

@SauRoNZA I seem to recall you saying something about this. Might've been someone else.

They combine the debit and credit account and instead of 55 days interest free it's 30 days.

No it'll be the FNB Fusion Aspire account for R99 p/m.
Right so is there a process to consolidate or just create the Fusion account and transfer funds over?

(Calling them to ask will take forever :X3: )

Not sure I haven't banked with FNB since 2013. Might open an account later this year. AFAIK when you change your account your number stays the same so I assume they just upgrade you, cancel the CC and you just get a new card.

I believe they would convert the Smart account to the Fusion one and then you just cancel the credit card once it’s settled fully.

So call or message to request an upgrade.

And of course they’ll send you a new card just to make it painful.
