Sign up with GoogleSo I've been looking into getting a cell contract through FNB to up my ebucks level and of course I cant get an answer from the useless FNB helpdesk. First they gave me a completely unrelated answer and then they ignored all follow up emails, so I was wondering if someone here has signed up with them and can clarify this for me.
They have a few different services like prepaid and top up and flexi (where you get to choose how much data and voice minutes you want per month.) These work out to around R0.99 a minute or less, and the OOB rates are more or less the same as far as I can tell.
Once you've chosen your contract, you then have an option to choose which device you want. This is where the problem begins.
All the good devices like the Xiaomi redmi note 2, come with a "Free" 50 minutes with an OOB rate of R1.50.
so essentially if you want to sign up for a flexi voice as well as a device, you end up with an additional 50 minute prepaid contract tagged onto it.
So question 1: Is it possible to get one of these devices on a flexi voice contract, without the 50 minutes?
2) if not do those 50 minutes get added to your monthly total - ie if you have a flexi voice with 100 minutes will you end up with 150 minutes?
3) what are the OOB rates, seeing as how they are 0.99 on flexi, but R1.50 on the "FREE" 50 minutes.
