Hi All,

So I got my FNB connect sim card today, was very quick to get delivered to me, literally ordered it yesterday.
activated, asked me for my bank PIN, was a bit unsure so I checked at a FNB branch if this is normal and safe,

I was told it was, and I dont need to worry too much about this.

so a few questions, as this is a secondary SIM in my Dual SIM phone.

I keep seeing G or E in the signal bars area of my phone, whereas my MTN SIM shows HSPA or 3G most of the time.
Ill check at home, see what shows up there,
but that seems odd, dont you get 3g or HSPA with FNB connect.....

also loading airtime on prepaid, can it only be done online?
can one buy airtime at a Pick and pay? or Woolies?

also voicemail, how does that work? does it even have one? or must it be setup first?

I normally get H on FNBC, dropping to E on the outskirts of the City, but I am in Cape Town and have generally never had a problem with Cell C's network.

You buy the airtime online, I'm on RL5 so that 40% back in eBucks is sweet

Voicemail and USSD codes etc are same as on Cell C. Who asked for your bank pin?

when I activated the sim, it asked for a pin initially, I thought it meant the standard 0000 pin,
or my current pin, none of those worked, and when I went to ask at a FNB branch

told me its my ACTUAL bank PIN, Think thats quite dangerous and unsafe as far as I understand.

TBH, not acually sure,
phone is a innjoo fire.
Look like it doesn't, I'm afraid. Only 850 MHz and 2100 MHz. MTN uses 2100 MHz for their 3G service and Cell C uses 900 MHz, so that explains why you get 3G / HSPA coverage on SIM 1 but not the FNB Connect SIM.

What happen if I swap sim position?
Or is it that my phone doesn't support cell c type of 3g?

I'm now wondering if I should have gone afrihost sim,
All I need is another number though, not sure if afrihost Sims allow that?
