FNB connect setup

Hi Guy's, i am getting very frustrated with this. please could i ask for help setting up my ADSL2+. i have a d-link 2500u, i have followed every step to the letter but nothing. the router is connected to the PC no problem but i cannot surf. i have tried PPPoE, bridge, Dynamic, you name it but nothing. please help

Does your router synch with the DSLAM?
i.e. Do you actually have ADSL on that telephone line?

ADSL2+? You're in South Africa. We're still using ADSL1 from the 90s.

all the lights of the router is on, i dont think problem is with the line, i think it has something to do with ISP

That does not mean you're getting ADSL2+, or even ADSL2, sorry. Maybe ADSL1 if you're lucky.

then see if you can get to www.telkom.co.za
you may also need to then go to www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl

you will need ur telephone number and order number to continue

How are you accessing MyBB forum if you do not have an internet connection ????
