FNB's secret weapon and its fight against Capitec

FNB's mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), FNB Connect, has achieved a significant milestone in surpassing one million active subscribers.

According to the MVNO's usage stats for the period from July 2024 to June 2025, customers used 2.3 billion voice minutes, 26.2 petabytes of data, and consumed 2.37 petabytes of free WhatsApp data.

Didn't they launch in 2015? June 2015? So 10 years to get to 1m active subs?

Have an FNB SIM as the second SIM in my phone, don't think I have actually used it at all,.... ever. Not sure if it still active to be honest, to much trouble to change over to do banking etc, the cost saving isn't significant enough to bother.
