FNB device insurance claim.

Lightning just killed my Xbox One. I purchased it through FNB and insured it with their device insurance.

Has anyone had to lodge claim before? What do you have to do? Is the process a pain in the rectum?

Well, just to update, its so far been a pain in the rectum.

Called the claims number, got sent forms to fill out, filled out the forms and sent it in. Got assigned to a Mr Coetzee who assigned a company called "Paragon Computers" (never heard of them) to do the damage report. Courier collected the Xbox this morning. For some reason they wanted my TV too. I see no logical reason for that, so told them thats not gonna happen.

I had a similar event with a PS4. Process was really quick. Got a damage report from PartServe, who is the Channel partner for PS4. Got a quote for replacement from Makro. Submitted both to my insurer, Santam. Received a cash payout less excess a week later.
