Yet to be charged anything extra for using its and I’ve used it more than a few times. What did you buy with it?

First i bought something on oneday only charged R8. ..transfer Money to my betway acc. Charged R8.00

Very weird.
The only thing listed with an R8 charge in the pricing guide is a faxed payment confirmation

Edit: also fees aren't usually charged as reserved amounts like in your screenshot

I also got charged the R8 when I used it the first time on Google play, to buy an Ebook of R1.50

I dont understand because after making transction 5 minutes later i will receive notification .. and my original balance after that transcation will be R8.00

It is a temporary charge from Google to verify the card. I believe it should reverse or lapse after a couple of days.

I added a virtual card to my FNB account the other day too to pay for my Gdrive storage and saw the R8 charge too.

I have 2 reservations - an R8 google for gdrive on my regular CC,and a R8 for an app purchase on my virtual card

They're probably not yet banked by the merchant.

Check under pending authorisations / transactions

Vendors can also clear in batches in post,so a few days later. Its how you can exceed your credit limit accidentally too
Amazon likes doing that

I think the Old Mutual Moneyaccount is way better than the FNB account and way easier. Sure you get a real card. But you can fully control and turn your card on and off from the app.

Way better and easier.

Yip, tested this out and the total amount of these auth transactions show up in the detailed view, but not individually with merchant name, amount etc, when you look at the current transactions for the account. Only transactions on physical card. Will avoid using until this is fixed. I must be missing something really obvious....

Weird, transaction I did on Wednesday on the virtual card shows up fine, including merchant name, though it is still pending.

Does anybody know why you might NOT be able to add virtual cards to your account?

This is for a FirstBusiness Zero Account, which according to their website, should support Virtual Cards: First Business Zero Account - Business Banking Accounts - FNB

But I just see an "Order card" button in there -- unlike my other profile where I see "Add card or virtual card".

Boy I'm struggling with FNB...
