Is anyone aware of why payments from FNB have not been going through the past 3 days? All i get is "we have system issues" and "its the receiving bank thats the issue" yet no payment can go out of FNB.

Been working fine for me. Could be anything in a transaction chain - your card, your account, your issuer, the merchant's bank, merchant device etc...

What payments?

I can't pay anything over R200k. Spoke to over 6 consultants and they advise technicians are aware for the system issue and working on it.

What payments?
Normal EFT, immediate pay and clear. Both options are not working. They say technicians are aware of the issues and im not the only client affected. They say they cant estimate time of resolution but i must keep trying over the next few hours or days till it work....that what i got from the last consultant i spoke to over the phone.

Sometimes its easier to just say system error when they suspect something irregular..

I know of a few people using FNB that transferred larger amounts than that in the past couple of days. Both personal and business accounts.

Test with R1,000. If it goes through then check your limits...

So pay R100k twice
Im trying to pay R510k.
System says i can pay max R350k per EFT. I tried to split to 350 and 210. Both occasions i got error messages. My limits are set at over R700k so its not an issue with limits, but thats one of the errors i got.

I tried different splits and still failed. Hence i say FNB consultants wont say what the exact cause is, but they want me to keep trying for 3 days. I'm close to just closing the account altogether and use a different bank!
