Anybody else getting a flurry of SMSs/e-mails from FNB stating

"We have received returned mail on one or more of your FNB accounts. Please contact us in order to update your address or change your mailing options."?

My friend also received them which is sort of funny seeing how they warn us that they will NEVER send us messages asking for our details.

Received both a SMS and an email this morning. Nogal in Afrikaans....

Seems legit though, the email was sent from the same server - rbgcon05.fnb.co.za (196.10.116.120) - that the InContact emails are sent from. At least they don't have a "click here to verify your details" link that goes off to some site in who knows where!

This technically isn't a phishing mail because there is no fraudulent link/email address or phone number.

if you log into fnb online banking there is this message:

Erroneous SMS

Please note that the following sms was erroneously sent to certain clients this morning:
”FNB - We have received returned mail on one or more of your FNB Accounts. Please contact us in order to update your address or change your mailing options”.

Client are requested to please ignore this sms.

Seems there was some "finger" trouble resulting in the said text message. The modern marvels of technology. :)
