FNB Private Client Cheque Account - any good?

lol.

If the bank is sending you a thank you for R500 it means you are one of their Premier Suckers. Banks aren't your friend, and if they sending you cash they are probably feeling guilty about something.
What of it? A R500 gift shows at least some consideration beyond "fk the customer over for money" so that is a plus in my books.

When I was in ZA a personal banker delivered a fancy bottle of wine to me after hours. It's just a bottle but it shows a semblance of personal attention which is ultimately the goal. A bit like women going to a spa...they just want to feel special.

I'm on my second private banker since I complained the first one was useless. Same issue, this one also useless, takes more than 4 days to get back to me and gives me cut paste responses I could've gotten from the website.

I plan on going back to premier

I've contacted my Private Banker at least 7 times in the last 3 months and she always personally acknowledge my queries within 4 hours and usually have it resolved or esclated very quickly. I've never ever spoken to her. Always submit the query via the 'contact your banker" online form and then liaise via email.
Very happy with her.

FNB's internet banking is great, and that is where it stops. Get yourself the cheapest unlimited banking option that's all you need (if you do many EFTs).

It took my "personal banker" 3 days to get back to my query, which I managed to get sorted without them. The cheek that they still contact me to sort it out without knowing what they were contacting me for or realising it had gotten sorted out. I am, however, not surprised as this is usually what happens when your bank turns into MTN v2.0.
