As not to derail the eBucks thread - is there anything major I lose?

I've just restructured my finances in the past month and I don't think I'll be eligible anymore - so will drop.

But anything major I lose or effected negatively with me eBucks? I see the monthly fee is around R150.00 cheaper

I honestly didn't notice any improvement when I moved up and honestly, neither of them even come close to Investec in terms of client service.

For example, I needed a visa letter for a friend because I'm taking said friend to London on holiday. It took FNB a week, after multiple emails and calls to get a visa letter (soft copy only) that was apparently for my visa application and not my friend's. In comparison, my banker at Investec mailed me a soft copy that was 100% correct 15 minutes after I called her and the hard copy was delivered to me the following morning.

Yea Investec is the better, but not sure I qualify. That aside, I don't particularly want to lose my R1,000+ eBucks PM :(

Dropping seems to be the best way forward, but worried there is something that I've overlooked!

I think his query has more to do with eBucks in mind though...

The only thing I can think of is you'd lose the free SLOW Lounge International access. Domestic will still be free though...

Who really cares about the colour of the card or the fact that you have a private banker?

Internet banking 99.99% of the time will suffice.

CEO of FNB said on 702 that they're no longer on a new client drive but instead mining existing clients into new products.
They contacted me to upgrade to private clients, when I told the consultant how much I could save per year, multiplied by 5 years of "fancy bank fees", the agent basically agreed that it was a waste.

Don't fall into the trap like most South African's- need to drive in a fancy car (owned by the bank), live in a fancy house (owned by the bank). Be smart with your money- it may seem like small savings but in the long term it adds up. You also have to land up spending a ridiculous amount on your credit card to earn decent ebucks.

Lastly, if you really wanna impress your offices colleagues, just go to RMB online banking and use FNB login details- it works.

Um.

Yea I want to drop, actually.

eBucks will work for me on the lower package and it's cheaper to boot. But like I say, I'm worried if there is some small fine print that I have missed and I lose something important or a lower card effects eBucks somehow ie earn 2% vs 2.5%

Oh there is something I missed and wasn't brought up ... but tiny change.

My largest catagories remain unchanged, thank goodness. So seems the best is to drop to Premier

FNB phoned me multiple times to sell me stuff. Irritated me actually.

In one case, the lady had no clue which FNB products I already used. She wanted to tell me about eBucks - I was like, hello I've been level 5 for a year already.
