How the hell does this actually work?

I opened up an account at the beginning of March and funded it, now it's automatically funded itself again for this month (meant to go on the 1st of April but I guess public holiday bullshit as if this is the prehistoric age without automation).

But the money just sits there? Nowhere is a button or anything to tell it do to something?

Am I an idiot?

It does auto buy just not immediately. So it will sit there for a few days but eventually goes into trade.

You can of course submit a manual buy. Button is bottom right if you go into your portfolio.

As for the funding, I know my debit goes off near the end of the month. It could just be the period their automatic funding kicks in regardless of whether you funded earlier or not.

It's been there since the beginning of March and there is nowhere to submit a manual buy of any kind.

There is no debit but just a scheduled transfer meant to happen on the 1st, but they seemingly jumped the gun.

Oh there is a completely different investment tab I need to go add to the view for Online Banking.

Why the hell isn't there a simple link from the account through to this? And it's nowhere to be seen on the App?

Can I not have it automatically trade?

****

And it can't do a transaction of less than R1000? What is the entire point of it then stating much lower minimums.

Think I'll rather move the money to TymeBank

For the funding, go into your portfolio. The golden tab on the left, click that and select "Instruction Maintenance". This has the details of when the debit goes off, how much and what % increase.

Auto Buy's seem to only execute beginning of every month according to my tx history so you may want to do a manual buy.

Yeah still a limitation of R500 a month which is too much at this point.

It's meant to be a little fund for my domestic's retirement so I reckon I'll just put it in ThymeBank instead and maybe when it grows big enough move it across or something.

Already have enough of that thanks.

This is meant to be easy access and reliable growth over time in a separate account.

What makes it better being on TymeBank though?

If Luno allowed for more than one savings wallet I may have considered it.

FNB and Luno aren't friends;)

apparently some people are saying FNB will turn off your account if you deposit with FNB,
So its better to do Tymebank, at least on Luno you can deposit instant from Tymebank.

strange situation, even myself, I got a Tymebank account if only to avoid FNB turning off my account, because they are Nazis about Bitcoin.

Some people talk a lot of kak.

It’s no problem at all and is likely going to be changed back to normal soon.

Been funding my Luno account from FNB for years.

Time to transfer is really quite irrelevant.

other day when I tried to fund my Luno account with instant EFT,
option for FNB was gone.

and remember reading others here who had issues funding their accounts from FNB, and the stories of accounts being disabled due to Luno.

so decided to be proactive and get a tymebank account to not fight with FNB.

1. Shitt-y product
2. Ongojng monthly fee
3. Poor growth on the 2 funds (especially midcap)

You can do much better!

Once you moved cashed into the share saver account, you must buy manually, or set a setting to auto buy

Once it executes, it only settles after 5 working days

The only good thing about this, you can “move” the shares to another provider without selling them!

I had this product for roughly 60 months! The best move was it to move it away from fnb
