I got a Smart Device a few months back and got a Cell C SIM card, which just sat on the side because I have data.

The other day my brother comes and wanted to use it, so I gave it to him - under impression it had data on it because I thought I read somewhere they give a certain amount of data free if you're with ebucks. Anyway, it didn't and he loaded.

No biggy - but is that normal that you load?

Wife got me an iPad and got that Cell C sim two years ago. I've never used it. I'll test mine in the morning and let you know

You have to have used the data in previous month in order for them to load data for the next month, at least that's how I understand it.

I think there is a 6 month cut off clause. If you don't use it they stop servicing that sim card. Perhaps they adjusted the duration?
