FNB St. George's Mall branch closing

The FNB branch where my cheque account was opened is closing next week. All accounts opened at this branch will be transfered to the Adderley Street branch. What implications will this cause me? Do I have to notify the salaries department in my company that my branch code will be changing?

should not really affect yu at all. FNB normally divert the BC to the new branch as well. Also more and more of the banks have a global BC that is used by all the branches - absa has 632005 for example. Standard also has one. You will find that it is only the smaller banks with older systems, like nedbank, that still rely heavily on the correct BC to be used. I would let them know so that there is no problems at a later stage.
