You realise the implications of pulling money out of a TFSA? Why not wait till end of Feb and hear if they'll allow transfers?

Lol my Stash is still free.

Stash isn't for serious investors. If you have the ability to fund a TFSA with a debit order and not your spare change then you should be using something that gives you way more exposure than South Africa's top 40 (of which 20% is Naspers the potential ticking time bomb).

EDIT: Same goes for Share Saver. Once they allow TFSA transfers people should move.

My opinion anyway.

Agreed. I put in a total of about 7.5k before I knew any better. It's now grown to 8k or so, but I'm waiting until it can be transferred. Will probably put it in Easy Equities, very happy with my account there.

Have my RA and ETF's for that anyway. Stash is awesome I just fund it with my CC.

To each their own. I think it is crazy that somebody would fund a gift like a TFSA with petty change and not prioritise it over regular investments that are subject to tax. Sure the capital gains benefit may not be a big or relevant benefit right now but in a few years it could start making a huge difference. Same with dividend tax.

As long as you don't try and convince anybody else to ruin the TFSA with Stash it's all good I guess  :p

You can boost your Stash every month with R1000 and then there's sunny money so it's not just petty cash.

True... but now we're back at why you'd waste your time with a crap product like this if you have the means to invest more every month. Why would you limit yourself to buying the top 40 when the whole world is out there.

It's just such a *** product. If they change it to invest in a regular investment account and not into a TFSA I'll probably sign up immediately but for some reason they're tying it to your TFSA and I only think the reason is so that they can use the term "tax free" for marketing purpouses.

Perhaps but it's a great free app and product for me and I love being able to fund it with my CC without any fees.

Once again TAX is asked for a TFSA (Share Saver), and I still await the fix for the issue 3 months back

Did any of you who have a TFSA (share saver), question this again ..... As tax was taken again !

Could any of you guys who has share savers bought shares on the 1st of dec ? (while the FNB system was offline) ?
