I don't see the value in this any more. When they were offering a significant discount it made sense, but now I'd save a lot more by just paying upfront at a shop.
No they're selling it for R3999. So it's save R39 on the iPad and pay somewhere around R2000 extra for the cheque account. When they were offering a significant discount on the iPad it mitigated the additional cost of the cheque account.sure, lots of places are selling the ipad for R3960 ??? to me its worth it. And if you want to argue about the account fee, i pay R92 a month regardless.

Exactly it is no longer anything special. It started as a promotion, ended as a product/service. Did everyone expect fnb to subsidise ipads forever?? Loads jumped over to fnb. Mission accomplished.
There is an additional R92/R110 per month that has to be paid. And they had to drop the price to be in line with the new retail price.I am Actually Glad their ipad 2 price has dropped, people dont realise that they dont need an ipad 3/new ipad. and besides, R219 a month for a 16gb wifi/3g with NO additional costs, I mean have you seen what Nashua offers for an ipad 2 contract?

As I've pointed out this only applies for those who don't include the mandatory additional R92/R110 per month. It's basic time value of money. Calculate the present value of R219 instalments over 24 months and it is still a good deal.
I don't spend R110 a month on bank charges, more like -+R40. So the extra R70 a month doesn't make it worth while for me. A hidden cost that most don't see.
