FNB Vehicle on Card

no dude, it's the same as when you buy a new car, you have no idea what interest rate the bank will offer you the first time, they analyse your profile and tell you what they offer you, so the first nine months will probably have a lower rate based on your credit rating etc, if you can pay a good amount back within this 9 months you don't have to pay 17%.

I checked and from what I have here my interest rate on FNB credit card is 14.5%

It's got nothing to do with being stupid.

Perhaps after reading this post i was referring to myself :D.

Fair enough that sounds decent. Oddly enough the people with the most debt will get the best rate right? So i would be screwed, 45% for you mister barely debt nooblet.

It's hilarious how FNB tries to create this image of 'innovative banking' while all they do is create new ways to inflict their high charges and the stupid masses gobble it up...

Actually FNB has the lowest rate in the industry.

I find that difficult to believe given that Capitec has a monthly admin of R4.5, R0 on debit purchases and inter-account transactions and a fixed R1 on cash withdrawals.

Also, Goliath National Bank.
