FNB's fees

The other month I saw that an account fee had been taken off of my total. This hasn't happened to me before because I always kept my balance over a certain amount. So I contacted someone at FNB and they claimed that FNB doesn't offer the fee saver option on my account any more. Those fees are eating into what little interest I gain.

What should I do here? Another account, or move to another bank entirely? I am kind of fed up with FNB as of late.

All banks are the same. Different name, same ***.
I am also with FNB but am also looking at other options within FNB.

Yea, I don't like the fact that I wasn't even notified in advance about the change. Not that I know of anyway. Usually I'll get an SMS or if it's more important, a letter in the post. I had to contact someone and only then was I informed of it.

I noticed the same a few months ago and they claim they notified me about this change (got nothing that I can remember). Had to switch to the R49 unlimited option.

The Easy Account has a lot of limits attached to it I only discovered at the branch. Not comparable to Capitec saving account at all, don't bother.

So I moved that money out to Capitec.

Capitec is your friend. Good interest. Good fees. And simplicity.

the change in fee structure was pretty well advertised I think, I think I even received an email and it was on their website as well.

I'm still on the fee saver option. Maybe it depends what account you have with them?
