Who told you the pc version is a ps2 port?
Its not a port and has the best gfx of all the platforms.
Also you can update the pc version with transfers,kits,teams,leagues etc.

I'm a FiFA man myself. Still loving fifa08. Me and my cousins try to have tournaments once a month where we play till 3 or 4 in the morning. It's just so much fun and the grafics are amazing.
My one friend is a PES fan and gets really upset when i want to play fifa. Apparently PES is for "real'" football fans but fifa08>>pes2008 imho.

I have both PES and FIFA on pc.
Fifa is more realistic, pro evo is more like an arcade game.
Who told you the pc version is a ps2 port?

It was in pc gamer magazine quite a few months ago. They asked the EA exec why their sports games on the pc are ps2 ports and he claimed till the majority of pc gamers have powerfull gpu's we would continue to get ps2 ports. Just compare the gfx of the pc version and xbox 360 and you will see we got the poor version. Many pcs are capable of doing those graphics but ea didn't give us that version.

shock believe me when i tell you if EA make a game for pc the graphics will be mind blowing, u can see that is a port man
the graphics are just nasty compared to what EA can produce on the pc looks like a ps2 port
go look at mass effect and crysis and then come back and tell me with a straight face thats good graphics
have a look at pes8 screenshots, now thats great graphics

There are no AA in fifa settings, if you acutally have the pc version u would know that.Screenshots were taken on a 7950GT TDH,Quad Core, 2 gigs ram, so not a slow computer.i think the graphics EA use for their soccer games are shocking

Its not a port, the gfx on the pc version are better than the xbox360 and ps3 versions of the same game.Also you cant compare crysis to fifa.
Go look at Gamespots review on both games:
FIfa 08 Review score=8.5
Pro Evo 2008 Review score=7.0
(Poor presentation in every respect Graphically and aurally subpar)

supa how do you add AA to a game with no AA setting? do you know?
how do i take my bf 2 game, tell it in game to have zero AA but force it to run at 16AA without using the ingame setting? do you know?
if so tell me how, if not i can tell you how
why does fifa 2008 not have an AA setting i wonder? would love to hear your answer as to why it has no AA because its pretty obvious to me
We all appreciate that the PlayStation 2 editions are not going to look any better now. The console has been superseded by the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 2's limitations were reached long ago. It's no surprise then that FIFA 08 doesn't really look any better than the last few FIFA games that have appeared on the console. PC gamers however, have a right to be disgruntled. Essentially the PC version appears to be a PlayStation 2 port and the graphical quality of this year's game is actually quite shocking. Despite the inadequate graphics you'll notice that the game has some performance issues and isn't free of a few frame rate hitches here and there (the PS2 version actually maintains a smooth frame rate throughout). The game also fails to support the various widescreen resolutions that are now common place meaning you'll have to play a game that looks stretched as well as quite ugly if you own a widescreen TFT monitor.
show me a source shock that refutes the claim that its not a ps2 port?

You post a review from Deafgamers.com, I posted a review score from Gamespot, the biggest game reviewer on the net.I would go with gamespots review any day...
Also adjusting AA within the .ini files within fifa makes no difference in the image quality go check for yourself.

supa go into your nvidia control panel and set AA to override application and set the AA as high as it will go
then come tell me how it worked, just remember it may run like crap but it will apply AA

Its not a port...go compare the gfx on both consoles, the ps2 version is a joke compared to the pc.The psp version I have is a direct port from the ps2 game.
Overriding the settings does nothing, gfx are exactly the same as when I have them on high within the game.Only time Iv seen an improvement in gfx is with a mod.

There is no link as its not a port, why would gamespot or any other big review site mention the obvious.
You have no clue what a port is, the pc and ps2 version have the same game engine but the pc has improved gfx and tons more features.
Check resident evil on the pc to see what a port looks like.
ps. downloading 4 gigs on ur slow internet will take ages, be quicker to buy the game and have them post it to you.

why would they create a version for pc if they could just port it and save tons of money, so many games these days are being ported because console are the biggest market

Ya 4mb is slow in my books, try a 200mb link for real speed.
Where does it state that on the internet?? only copy/paste you could do was from a small review website.Even the fifa 2008 wikipedia site states nothing about a port, its states they use the same game engine.
You have no idea what a port is, so according to you they created the game put it on ps2 then ported it back over to pc.Removed anything related to ps2 from the game on pc,added extra features such as online play/auto sign in,then re-wrote all the in game text to refer to pc hardware/software...
Like i said go look at a real ported game from ps2 and you will see what a CONSOLE PORT looks like.The fact they use the same game engine does not make it a port ffs.
