Hey. So I have been on an entry level Afrihost package via Vuma fibre for the past year or two, the 4MB/1MB package which was fine for our needs. I just got an email from Afrihost saying Vuma no longer supports 4MB lines and we are essentially being force upgraded to the 10MB/2MB line package and that it will cost me extra to the tune of about R130 a month.

Not particularly happy with that. In the days of Telkom ADSL if they dropped off the lower level offering they almost always gave you a free upgrade to the next highest package. A bit of poor form if you ask me from Vuma, and potentially afrihost although how much they are at fault is difficult to determine. Anyone else had this or have a view on this?
