Even if the contract was updated or he accepted the terms, a contract cannot override law. The company must be worried that he will be malicious or something, but then should find another way from him damaging their reputation or systems in a different way, not force something he has legal right to
 
It is a matter of principle, not letting yourself be taken advantage of by your emmployer. If their lawayer said it is fine we should all just accept it,<sarcasm>really when do lawayers ever lie? </Sarcasm>
 
WTF? :crylaugh: Your lawyer friend should go back to law school if after talking to him, you are willing to screw yourself over.
Imo, what his lawyer meant was “fu and your rights, this isn’t worth my time”
