I hope that we get the Duster Oroch. It's a double cab at the moment, but the test vehicles were single cabs. Both would be great additions to SA.

Cost would be very prohibitive for a Vivo-based bakkie. It's still a proper redesign need. Tooling; R&D; testing etc.

It would be more feasible to bring in the SA (South American) half tonner but with an R-Line pack that incl DTM wheels.

Motor must be N/A. Low compression but "tuneable" as well as "Cross" version with higher ride height.

*yo VWSA where's my job now*
They put one of their TDi engines in that bakkie and we have a winner.

That would be quite an expensive bakkie. GM dropped the 1.3td from their UTE due to cost problems.
Given that bakkie is based on the new shape polo, I doubt it would be cheap anyway. Probably why they haven't brought it here yet. Would be an awesome boet-mobile

Yeah think the same thing

Imagine that from R230k, like the Duster suv, people would love it. Hell, if they bring the single cab, they could use Nissan badges and call it the NP250.

Damn that sounds crazy. The old one was based on the cheaper Gol. A polo based bakkie could start close to R200k.
