Hi there.

I'm getting a Ford Figo this week from my parents as it will be needed to get to Uni.

Obviously I want to upgrade the sound as soon as possible. I search on Google and did some research about the head unit. I seems to be a double din HU. I don't want to spend to much on a sound system, a amp and subwoofer isn't important at this moment and I buy it later.

Does anyone have any advise on what to do. I found a picture where someone has installed a single din HU with a compartment. I would prefer to have it the same. To what place can I go to get a fitting for the single din HU and what would be the best options for the speakers and HU. I live in Pretoria and I don't want to spend more than 1.6K. Thanks. :)

Is there a reason you want to change the HU?

I kept the HU on my Corsa and just upgraded the speakers. That alone made a huge difference.

Its best to do it in stages. I went the following used the following method.

1: Upgraded Stock speakers (Splits Front and Mids rear)
2: Sound deadning
3: Amp and Sub

I did the upgrades myself over a 9 month period using quality components ie Focal, MB Quart and JBL.

If you need installation and advice try these guys
