Ford Figo speakers

Its going to be difficult to install 6x9's in the back doors as Im sure it will involve cutting to make it fit? Are you keen to do that?

Its very simple and easy to install them in the back board. Just keep in mind the sun will damage the speakers over time if you park ur car in the sun, plus it would be more prone to theft.

Put them in the backboard, then you cover the backboard with a thin, but non see-through material. That renders it invisible to the outside onlooker :D

I have a Ford Figo and was advised not to install 6x9's. I agree with this advice.

Yes they are loud, but the sound quality is generally not there on the cheaper ones. Also, criminals see 6x9's through your back window and then they are gone.

What I would recommend you do is put in some splits in the front. 5" will probably fit as is. I have 6" ones and they just had to cut a plastic thing to get them in.

Then if you are on a budget get a subwoofer for the boot and a 4ch amp.

HI

For the back doors i was planning on selling the 6x9's and purchasing the correct sizes. In terms of sound, which of the tow locations would be best?

I have quite a hectic set up in my Figo, rather go for mids in the door, if you must get 6x9s rather get a backboard. Enjoy

+1
and before you cut your factory backboard go ask them how much a replacement is
I assure you, you will change your mind

get some decent splits 5/6" splits for the front doors and some mids/coaxials for the rear doors for rear fill
you want the good sound upfront where you will be

add a sub for more bass if thats your thing
you will need an amp to run the sub

and it would be prefered to run the upgraded speakers off one as well too

Previous model Ford Fiesta has brilliant standard speakers, how does their quality compare with after-market 6x9's?
