The Ford Figo has been a car on my list and decided to Google known issues.

I was shocked at the lack of quality control by Ford.

Here are some of the issues I have found on the net.

Faulty fuel gauge. The fuel gauge stops working. This issue has also been documented on a hellopeter complaint.

Just cross the Figo off your list & get an Up or Sandero.

If your "friends" tell you the 2nd Gen Sandero is a bad choice then get new friends.

Listening to reviews from India is not a bright move to begin with, concentrate on local reviews.

It is a basic cheaply made cars but still much better quality than an Etios, I doubt it is that bad.

The car is manufactured in India & SA models have experienced the same issues.

BTW the video with driver's window issue was posted by a South African. Read the comments section on his video. He struggled to get it sorted out by Ford.

There doesn't seem to be any quality control.

It is off my list. I thought the issues of the Figo would be of interest to some.

Did you know that you will find issues with any make of vehicle in SA if you google hard enough? Would that mean no quality control is happening for all vehicles in SA?

You are going about this the wrong way if you want to accuse Ford of quality control issues because of a few incidents you find on the internet. How many are they compared to the number of Figos sold in SA and globally? Did Ford ever institute a recall for those issues? I just feel you are making serious claims with very little information.

I am not saying the Figo is a good car and Ford are a top company in quality control, it is a cheap car and such issue are not unusual in cheap cars. You need to be more objective in your research to come up with a good solid conclusion that is at least based on something more that a few complaints.

So you want to buy a bottom of the range car, and complain about it's cheapness?

NO SH*T!!

What did you expect? :cautious:

Get yourself a good second hand car like a Honda Jazz instead of buying a new Figo.

Buy a Mazda cx-3 and you will never look back. You get what you pay for your money
