Hi
I have a problem with a Ford KA 1.3. It is a intermittent problem with idling and loss of power for a brief moment.
For the last two weeks I had no problem and this morning it did it again. Idle pattern changes and then it is as if it wants to stall but it doesn't just struggles to idle and sometimes when you pull away there will be no power and then you have to engage the clutch and rev it hard for it to start moving.
The other problem is when it's idling without wanting to stall it idles to high. The KA doesn't have a rev counter but I can hear it definitely idles too fast and you can smell the petrol.
I got myself a OBDII scanner because the check engine light is on and Fraud asks R350 just to check the code and clear it. I scanned it and got P0130.
It seems to be the O2 Sensor that's faulty. I want to know if it's the faulty O2 Sensor that's causing these problems before I go out and spend R1100 on a new one.
Even if I clear the code the check engine light goes off for a few days but then it's back again
