Hi, im looking for some advise or opinion on this. I'm looking to purchase a 2014 Ford Ranger 3.2 Auto 4x4 from a biggish car dealer in durban. Having looked at the car and starting it I'm happy with is engine, exterior and interior condition. Its has 161000kms. However looking at the vehicle Dekra report there is an issue with it suspension. The report states the the right front wheel locks up when 4H/4L is engaged. Does anyone with experience with these cars or a general suspension set of expertise advise what this could be. Is it a major issue that should send me running or is it a day in the shop issue such as brake, cv joint or bearings. Please dont hold back on the information and terms as I am quite a technical person myself. I just dont have much experience with 4x4 suspension and the Ranger. I will try to attach the page of the report which speaks to this.

I am no expert but I know these new 4x4s systems are intelligent things that are controlled by computers and I don't think the wheel locking up is a simple mechanical issue.

I am thinking it could have something to do with a malfunctioning EBD system or something in the braking system that engages when in 4x4 mode. It does not sound good, I would insist in the dealer taking the car for a second opinion at a 4x4 specialist place to get a good professional opinion. Don't just hope for the best, if in doubt it's better to walk away.
