LAN near Forest Hill

We can support up to a maximum of 200 people
Just a friendly community LAN : NO competitions will be held as of yet but we will have quite soon
We will have all mainstream lan games including -
Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty World at War
Counter Strike
Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3
Garry's Mod
Teeworlds
Crysis
DOTA
Left for Dead 2
Starcraft 2
And Many More TItles


Nobody under the age of 13 is permitted and we cannot be held liable for damage / theft of property.
Entry Fee is R100 per person payable by EFT or Cash before the 30th of June preferably.
Tickets will be sold at the door, but spaces are limited

I couldn't for the life of me figure out what this was when you invited me to the Group.
I thought you lot were PE boys living in Forest Hill.

Now I realize how wrong I was.

Every LAN I've been to has had a focus on multiplayer over WAN in the past 3 years, yes some are still LANs but tbh a WAN-less LAN is just boring unless it's CS/Quake or Unreal (my VERY biased opinion)

ever heard of DazLAN ? =/ they were extremely successful until their last few months and they didnt have internet. Why should a LAN have internet when you have internet at home. LANs are supposed to have a focus on local games like lan emulated BF3 or mw3 etc. Besides theres also around 20tb of stuff shared on the dc++ server and downloading at 100MBps really helps XD
 
Jirre, if google maps is anything to go by, That metal building will be pretty damn cold seeing as it's winter :D

When is this? I need to pay by end of today but no idea when it is happening even :eek:

from 3rd to 4th of July, 6pm to 8am you can pay at the door if you'd like to check the place out first, the google maps pictures are actually out-dated and misleading because this place was newly renovated :D

Do these lans happen often?

You have a snack bar there? I might be tempted to go there as a Ballie and teach you kids how to play CS:GO :D

this is our first large scale LAN but yes we plan on having it once a month if all goes well. And what will probably be the most popular game there is going to be BF3 seeing as a LAN emulator just came out for it less than 2 months ago.
We will hopefully have a snackbar, the place has one built in but we still need to find out from the owner if anyone will be manning it.
In short if all goes well then yes we have a snackbar and yes these lans will happen often :D
