I had a problem with my pc lately, like it didnt want to switch on. I took it to be fixed and my hard drive was strained, I then formatted to start a new. Now I have a clean pc with network drivers and I cant connect to the internet or wifi.

There is a explanation mark in the corner of the laptop icon and there is a status at the bottom "Needs Troublesooting" but when I do trouble shoot it cannot fix any of the problems.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your particular laptop from the manufacturers own website?

Most of the drivers you need should be on the motherboard cd.

You need to install LAN and WiFi Drivers from the internet.

If its a laptop, turn it over and try to find a sticker to Identify what type of WiFi device it has in it (or you can give us/me the model of the laptop and i will find you drivers)

But if its a desktop, just look on the motherboard its self to find the model number, then you can goto the manufactures websiteto fond the drivers.

Hi There,
Did you go to the motherboard driver disk? As has been pointed out you should get a version there to get you up and running.
You need the drivers obviously to get the connectivity to go and get the latest versions of the web so I appreciate you being in a bit of a catch 22 especially if you don't have to motherboard disk.
Maybe you could get the drivers downloaded from an internet cafe?

Regards

Tim
