Former Eskom executives seeking CEO job

The chief executive role at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd., considered the most challenging job in corporate South Africa, is attracting interest from people who know how difficult turning around the debt-ridden state utility will be.

Andy Calitz, the former CEO of LNG Canada, who started his career as an electrical engineer at Eskom and later held various senior posts at Royal Dutch Shell Plc, confirmed he applied for the job and declined to comment further.

Well - some people commit suicide, others apply for CEO of Eskom - frankly I can't see the difference.

Does he really think government will let him do the job?

Unless he's just after the money.

He didn't get the job when he replied no to being a Cadre.
They asked him if he would stop the looting and corruption, and he said yes, so they said, "Not qualified. Must have at least a Masters degree in Public Corruption and Looting or equivalent experience."

Preferably an MA in Public Corruption and Looting from the Jacob Zuma University of Higher Education.

To be fair, you could sleep in your office chair all day and just do what uncle Prav asks you to do, plus collect a fat salary.
