Not 100% sure if this is the best place to post this, but I figured a MOD could move it if needed.

I love sport. I don't have the funds to afford DSTV Premium to get the Sport. Currently using MNET which also gets CSN so I generally get to see cricket and rugby most the time. However, the CSN channel has gotten really crappy over the years(in an attempt i guess to get people to buy DSTV) and so the choice of Live sport is dwindling.

Formula 1 is something I enjoy watching/falling asleep to on a lazy Sunday afternoon and has been removed from the ranks of Live events broadcast on CSN. I would even settle for a delayed transmission but alas, they have removed it completely for the last few seasons. I've been trying to find a reliable online streaming source for F1 and so far my finds via Wiziwig.tv and the like are either crappy streams or closed randomly by the site and the stream has to be reloaded (often closing 20 something popups first) which doesn't help when using HDMI from my laptop to 40" telly.

Anyone have some suggestions (besides spending more money) for a suitable online streamer of Formula 1 qualifying and races?

Running ADSL 4mb uncapped (so the super HD streams are also out of the question :o)

Many thanks for your time

You could try SportsDevil. You can stream SkySports on there as well as Wiziwig and some others.

Many thanks giggity and B@rrels for your input. Will check these out on Saturday/Sunday for sure!

I use cricfree/chricHD/upeak.me mostly. There are hordes of other pirate streams available of you Google a little

I see the stream is up at the moment. Not the greatest quality. Was hoping for something along the lines of 480-720p since i'm going to be watching it through my 40" telly

Practices are normally a bad quality with no options, but generally the main race gives you 480 which is very acceptable and on occasions you get 640 which is about the best you'll get as most international TV does not have 720 or higher like we do.

If real time is not a major issue there are some great private torrent site with excellent quality 50fps 720p rips of all fp sessions, plus race build ups, post race, teds notebook, et al, available. Just have to stay away from the news channels for a few hours. Works for me.
