Fortnite battle Royale

Is there a way to only play with local people you know? Reason I ask is I need some training on how to play and how things work :o
 
I'm Playing this and loving it at the moment, getting wins constantly with my brother in Duos, about 3-8 a day. Im starting to record games as well but im not good with video editing and such, but yeah, loving this game to bits!!

I think its much better than PUBG.

On PC by the way

Edit : Bush wooki'ing is a valid strat, you can't play aggressive all the time, you just need to win the last fight, but taking fights gives you the right skill to win the last one

700+ matches played and I've never been killed by a bush wookie, they are always the worst players, just building a simple 1x1 with a ramp is infinitely better than sitting in a bush hoping no one sees you.

I usually get 3 wins for 5 matches played.

It hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet but the Launch Pad is one of the greatest items ever in a multiplayer game.

But On PC at least that happens once every 2 weeks or so so not too much of an issue, and they resolve the problem within an hour or so normally so its not too much of a problem.

Yeah the launchpad is amazing, have had some awesome plays with it!

Are people that play Squad significantly worse than people that play Solo, whenever I get daily challenges like Top 6 is Squad mode I play Squad no fill and the people just don't seem to be as good.

If you can get a group of four semi decent non potato players your group would win half of the time.

Edit: If I look at the person at the two guys on top of the SA Squad leaderboard, I know they play together all of the time they both have around 30% win rates and will probably be at 50% in the next 3 months.

I've had the same experience, what I have seen from a lot of videos online is that when people play squads their comms and focus is all over the place, so you can easily divide and conquer, in solos the guy just has to focus on what he does

Winning a solo Squad match seems to be something that people do and I think if I tried I can do it, the last two times my daily challenge was top 6 squad and something like 2 SMG kills I go squad no fill and both times I came second while just messing around and killing people with the SMG instead of a shotgun or rifle.

I've won 2 or 3 squad's solo purely because of blind luck also doing challenges, the top 6 in squads i tend to avoid fights and somehow always get to top 5. Last win I watched the last 2 squads battle it out from a hill, and the last survivor was using a medkit in the open field, so I just sniped him haha!!

The guy that is on top of the SA Squad leaderboard and I have been on each others friends list basically from day one but I enjoy playing Solo so much we haven't even played a single match together.
 
Guess you need to apply some kind of setting to land on the South African leaderboard :?

The two main things:

Chug Jug

Low HP? No Shields? Enemies all around? Give yourself a fighting chance with the all-new Chug Jug! Find a safe place to Chug this Jug for 15 seconds and gain max Health + Shields.

and they've added AutoRun.
