Fortnite (PC) errors after recent update

Can anyone help me fix an error I am having with Fortnite on my PC?

There is an error code & Fortnite doesn't want to open.

The Epic Games Launcher also doesn't open up properly. Looks as if it only half loads the stalls.

My kid says he wasn't able to play Fortnite since the last update about a week ago.

Any help would be great.

Tonight I'm going to try to uninstall & reinstall Fortnite.

Before you uninstall try verifying game files

I don't know if it's out yet but a new patch is making the game incompatible with older GPUs that don't support DX11.

The launcher not opening I don't know.

Last night I reset some things after watching some youtube videos.

This afternoon my kids reinstalled and now its playing.
