Forum and iPhone

So, yesterday I went to view a thread (via email link) with my iPhone (3GS). And up pops a dialog that redirects me to the app store. A app appears, something about forum something or another, reading through the description, it has access to over 1000 forums and you can view them via the app and so forth... App costs $2.99... Scam?

Was just about to ask if the forum is going to be enabled for Tepatalk
I use the app and it works nicely

I cannot remember the app name and my phone doesn't do it anymore...

Tapatalk is the app name.

It's not a scam, it was enabled by rpm by request.
