So now that I have TopTV at home I get to watch Fox News and MSNBC. Ive only being able to mostly watch snips of Fox News from their podcasts and from other publications highlighting Faux News point of view. Ive never watched MSNBC.
From what I hear Alan going on with MSNBC and the couple of links he posted of bad reporting from MSNBC I kinda expected some heavy leftist, pro Obama channel. Basically I was expecting the lefts version of the dishonest Faux News.
Boy was I wrong.
Faux news is accurately represented by credible media houses as bias... but bias is an understatement of note. No matter what time of the day I switch over to faux news, they are either having a go at obama, the democrats or there is religious stuff on. I knew faux news was bad... but seriously!!! That bad! I was not expecting such terrible reporting. I thought the SABC and ANC was bad... well they have nothing on Faux.
So.. I change the channel and go watch MSNBC... cringing and expecting it to be as bad as faux. The first time I changed the channel over they had several journalists in open discussion debating the short comings of Obama (not something you would expect to see from faux`s counterpart)... after a day or two of watching MSNBC ... well yes, they are slightly left of center... but not by much.
Sure they have a good laugh at Palin and the teabaggers but they often dig into both dems and reps. I find it a very entertaining political show, but then I find Faux news also entertaining (black comedy).
Anyone else enjoying this new access to American politics?
