I am glad to say that Foxit reader (imho the best pdf reader on windows) has finally released a seemingly runnable linux version. I just installed it now, so I am not sure about its stability yet, but I just couldn't contain my joy
You can get it from http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/
Edit:
I am happy to report that the speed of the linux verion is compareable to the windows version.
There seems to be many features still lacking in the linux version:
-No save or save as functions
-The print preview depends on "evince" which is a separate opensource pdf viewer which, on my machine, gives very blurry results.
-Tabs
