Free alternative to Calenderize.it

Hello I am looking for a wordpress plug in that is a calender that can post events and also allow members of the public to post events it's for a non profit, but all I can find are paid calendar plugins none of the free ones offer any value really

Starting to regret wordpress, since all the good stuff cost money
